Foxit Reader's interface includes five parts: Menu bar, Common Tools toolbar, Navigation Panel, Document Pane, and Tab bar.

Connect: Convert PDF files to ConnectedPDF format, and work with ConnectedPDF files.
You can click located next to the Connect button to switch to the Protect tools, which enable you to decrypt and encrypt Microsoft Active Directory® or Azure Rights Management Services protected PDF files with the optional Foxit RMS plug-in.
Highlight: Highlight the selected text.
Typewriter: Add text to the PDF file.
Find: Search the document to find specific text.
Tip: After expanding View,Comments, orConnect toolbar, you can right click on the toolbar and check or uncheck Show All Labels to show or hide the button labels on the toolbar. If you choose to show all the button labels, you can click the three dot symbol to find all of the tools.
C. Tab bar: Display multiple PDF files in tabs. You can go back and forth between PDF files by using the Document tab. You can also click to check recently opened PDF files.
D. Navigation Panel: Display Bookmarks panel, Pages panel, Attachments panel, and Comments panel to help you navigate and view the PDF file easily.
E. Document Pane: Display the currently opened PDF file.
Foxit Reader is the latest generation of Foxit Software's lightweight and speedy PDF reader. This Mac and Linux version is not as a fully functional as the Windows build - there's no PDF creation tools, for example, but performance is great, with the program loading documents much faster than Adobe Reader.
There are some limited markup tools - including a highlighter, polygon and cloud-shaped tools, and you can type text directly on to the document too. Recent new features include the ability to take snapshot images of PDFs, plus change the background colour and document text to aid readability.
And document collaboration features allow you to save your PDF files online and work on them with others, via almost any computer with a web browser. This is a commercial service, but a generous 3 month trial period means you've plenty of time to try it out. Check the site for more.
